Note: The tour is over, the guys had a BLAST playing for all of you. However, we haven't had a post since March but meanwhile I've had tons of spammers try to pollute over here. So I've disabled posting to the forums. If they tour again, you can be sure we'll open the forums back up. In the mean time, for some great bass discussion you can head over to http://www.talkbass.com. - Thanks!

I have tickets for the show at the RamsHead tomorrow night. Can't wait! I've never seen Jeff Berlin but have heard lots about him. I've seen Stu several times and Billy just a few...but never this up close and personal.

Just got back from the gig (2:40AM). I must say....it was fantastic!! I was soooo close that I could rest my feet on the stage. Had great views all night....and could these guys put on a show?! Got to meet Billy, Stu, Jeff and the guitar player after the gig. All were super nice. Now I understand that they're playing on Monday 2/26 in Baltimore. I will be there. Took lots of pics tonight. I may post some here later.

So glad I went.

I attended this show last Wednesday night and absolutely loved it. I was quite psyched when I found out this very special group had been formed: I knew Stu Hamm from Joe Satriani's Crystal Planet tour, and recognized Billy Sheehan from Steve Vai, but had not heard of Jeff Berlin so I looked him up (not that I had any doubts I was just curious Smile ) and finding out that he had played with Bill Bruford was all I needed to know about him, although the other things he's done sound very interesting too.

I knew it was going to be something special, and it was certainly that and more. Unfortunately we arrived a little late and missed some of Jeffs set, but what we did catch was great and we all got a big thrill when Stu came on next to the classic chanting of "Stuuuu..." from the audience. My husband particularly liked the classical adaptations, and the guitarist Jude Gold who accompanies all three bassists (as does the drummer John Mader, who is great too). When Billy came on last, it was quite a climactic finale- I felt I was on the virge of a sensory overload- his dynamic personality and stage presence along with his incomparable playing. It was quite a rush. But even then, it wasn't over. Jeff and Stu came back out and the three fabulous and diverse bassists jammed together, and did several numbers including "Big Bottom", the bass song from Spinal Tap, one of my very favorite movies. This group was such a great idea, and a great success from what I can tell.

I've enjoyed reading the posts on the other shows, this one in particular because it's the one I went to and liked so much that I really wanted to try to get to the one in Baltimore which was this Monday, I believe, to make sure I caught all of Jeffs act and anything else I missed the first time around. I really didn't want it to be over, and by the way great job to the photographer... great pictures! Like I'm right back there experiencing it all again. And great job to the driver who braved all the weather we've had around here.

Thank you so much Bx3 for coming to Annapolis, you are all welcome back here any time!

Oops, I just read that over and realized I meant to say "verge", I wondered about the spelling at the time that I wrote that. Oh well. I had forgotten to add that I bought some CD's after the show and have been listening to them ever since, and have really been getting into them. Great sound, and a great show.

Thanks again!
